Who we are
This policy covers
B Positive Group Pty Ltd, trading as AP Advisory (“AP Advisory”, “Ash Playsted”, “we”, “us”, “our”), is committed to protecting personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy applies to data gathered through ashplaystedadvisory.com and related sites or pages that present AP Advisory and the Private Strategic Office™, and to interactions you may have with us in connection with those surfaces (including email and scheduling tools linked from this site).
Please review this policy periodically. We may revise it by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes take effect 30 days after posting, unless earlier effect is required by law or circumstance.
Contact for privacy matters: info@ashplaystedadvisory.com (subject line “Data Subject Request” where you are exercising access or deletion rights).
What we collect
Information you choose to give us
We do not collect personal information such as name, email address, or telephone number unless you choose to provide it. Typical pathways on this website include:
- Book a briefing: name, email, and the context you describe about a decision or situation.
- The Founder's Brief subscribe: name and email, so we can send occasional notes.
- Email or phone: whatever you include when you contact info@ashplaystedadvisory.com or +61 419 808 885.
- Scheduling: if you book via Calendly (or a similar tool linked from this site), that provider collects booking details under its own policy; we receive what is needed to hold the conversation.
If you voluntarily provide personal information, we use it to respond to you, to provide the information or service you requested, and to administer our relationship with you. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us (withdrawal does not affect prior lawful use).
Forms
How form submissions are handled
Public forms on this website may be delivered by email or through a form processor (for example Formspark). Processors receive the fields you submit so they can deliver the message to us. Their handling of that data is also governed by their own privacy terms. We ask you not to include unnecessary sensitive information in a first public form.
Nothing you type into a public form creates a privileged legal engagement by itself. Confidential founder work is handled under a separate arrangement once we are engaged.
How we use it
Purposes
We may use personal information to:
- respond to briefing requests and other enquiries;
- send The Founder's Brief and related updates where you have subscribed;
- administer appointments and follow-up after a conversation;
- improve this website and understand, in aggregate, how it is used;
- comply with law and protect our rights and users’ safety.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own direct marketing unless you have agreed, or the law requires or allows it.
Direct communication
The Founder's Brief and related messages
If you subscribe to The Founder's Brief, or ask us to stay in touch, we may send you occasional email (or other channels you have given us) about notes, updates, or services relevant to AP Advisory and the Private Strategic Office™.
You may opt out of marketing or newsletter-style messages at any time by emailing info@ashplaystedadvisory.com with “List removal” in the subject, or by using an unsubscribe link where provided. We may still send administrative messages directly related to a request you made (for example confirming a briefing).
Your rights
Access, correction, and deletion
To request access to, correction of, restriction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided, or to request an electronic copy for transfer to another organisation where applicable, contact info@ashplaystedadvisory.com with the subject “Data Subject Request”.
We will attempt to comply. We may need to verify your identity and may only act on information associated with the email address you use to write to us. We may retain certain records where law, professional obligation, or an incomplete transaction requires it. Residual copies may remain in backups for a period. When we receive a deletion or opt-out request for marketing, we will remove you from marketing and subscription lists so further mailings of that kind stop.
Retention
How long we keep information
We retain personal information as long as needed for the purposes it was collected, and as permitted by law. Criteria include:
- how long we have an ongoing relationship with you (including an active subscription or open enquiry);
- legal or professional record-keeping obligations;
- whether retention is advisable for legal claims or regulatory position.
Security
Protecting what you send
We seek to use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards for personal information we hold. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. You transmit information at your own risk.
Questions about security of your interaction with us: info@ashplaystedadvisory.com.
Third parties
Processors, links, and tools
We use service providers that may process information on our behalf or collect it directly: for example form delivery (such as Formspark), scheduling (such as Calendly), email, hosting, and analytics if enabled. Their use of your information is governed by their own policies as well as our instructions where they act for us.
Payment processors, if used for a paid engagement, may collect payment details directly. We are not responsible for their independent practices beyond choosing reputable providers.
This policy does not cover third-party websites we link to (including partners named on this site). Inclusion of a link is not an endorsement of that site’s privacy practices.
We may share aggregate or de-identified information. We may disclose personal information where required by law, legal process, or good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, safety, or to investigate misuse of the Service. In a business transfer (sale, merger, or acquisition), personal information may be among transferred assets.
For a current list of material third-party vendors used with this website, email info@ashplaystedadvisory.com with subject “current third-party vendor list”.
Technical data
Logs, cookies, and analytics
As you browse, we or our hosting providers may automatically collect technical information such as date and time of access, pages viewed, referring link, browser and device capabilities, approximate network information, and IP address. We use this in aggregate to understand traffic, fix problems, and improve security and usefulness of the site.
We use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies as needed to operate the site. Optional analytics and advertising pixels (such as Meta, LinkedIn, or Google Analytics, when configured) load only after you choose Accept on the cookie notice. Essential-only leaves those tools off. You can also control cookies through your browser; some features may not work if cookies are blocked. We do not respond to browser “do not track” signals.
If analytics tools are enabled and accepted, they may record device type, general location, and events on the site. We may combine log data with information you provide in order to improve services, not to sell your identity. To change a prior choice, clear site data for this domain in your browser and reload the page.
Cross-border
Australia-centred operation
The Service is controlled and operated from Australia. Personal information may be stored or processed in Australia or in other countries where our providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection rules. By using the website you understand that information may be transferred accordingly.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes relating to it are to be heard in the courts of Victoria. You consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
Children
Not for minors
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, you are not authorised to provide personal information or to use this website to request services.
Australia
Australian privacy and direct marketing
We aim to handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing if you have opted out of that sharing.
